KUALA LUMPUR, 3 July 2023 — CORE Precious Development Sdn Bhd (“CORE Precious” or the “Company”), the developer of the prestigious CORE Residence @ TRX project in the Tun Razak Exchange (“TRX”), has completed the installation of the first linked bridge connecting its residential property, direct access to TRX City, Malaysia’s international financial district. The installation of the linked bridge, a key component of the CORE Residence @ TRX project, is a major milestone in the construction of the RM1.4 billion gross development value (GDV) project.
CORE Precious Development Sdn Bhd is a joint venture between China Communications Construction Group (CCCG) — a Fortune Global 500 corporation — and WCT Holdings Berhad — a leading Malaysian engineering, construction company and property developer.
CORE Precious Development Sdn Bhd Chairman and Managing Director Zhang Bao said: “I am very pleased to announce the installation of the linked bridge connecting CORE Residence @ TRX with TRX City Park. The bridge will weave CORE Residence @ TRX’s vibrant community into the fabric of TRX City, providing a vital link for CORE Residence @ TRX to the new heart of Kuala Lumpur, as well as unparalleled connectivity to the rest of Klang Valley.”
A triumph of civil and structural engineering, the linked bridge has a width spanning two car lanes and is more than three storeys above ground. The massive structure was fabricated off-site, then lifted on site by crane. Once in position, the bridge was installed by CORE Precious Development’s construction team. Upon completion, the linked bridge will spring to life with a terrace garden landscape, forming a seamless connection with the architectural language of the TRX City Park.
The TRX City Park will be a 10-acre rooftop park — the largest of its kind in Southeast Asia. Drawing inspiration from the High Line in New York and Osaka’s Namba Parks, a key feature of the TRX City Park is the central hub, a space that can host up to two and a half thousand people for events.
The Park will also include retail outlets, a police station, amenities, a surau, a play space with water play, multi-purpose facilities, a formal garden and an urban forest. The only park in Kuala Lumpur with a direct link to the MRT system, the Park sits atop the roof and service buildings of the Exchange Retail Mall, slated to open by the end of 2023.
CORE Precious also announced an update on the overall progress of CORE Residence @ TRX.
CORE Precious Development Sdn Bhd Chairman and Managing Director Zhang Bao said: “We are proud to have achieved a take-up rate of 80%. We expect to have sold all units by the end of this year. We remain on track to complete CORE Residence @ TRX by the end of 2023 and look forward to handing over completed properties soon.”
Commenting on market demand for the project, Zhang Bao said: “Response to CORE Residence @ TRX continues to be very encouraging, demonstrating high demand for properties within the highly anticipated Tun Razak Exchange. CORE Residence @ TRX is attracting investors from all over the world, with our buyers hailing from more than 25 countries and regions including Malaysia, China, Singapore, South Korea and Japan. Of note, we expect to benefit from the positive impact of China’s economic re-opening, with our team starting to receive more enquiries from Chinese prospective buyers.” - BIZ DIGEST
