Zhang Bao: The RM1.4bil CORE Residence @ TRX will benefit from China's economic re-opening

KUALA LUMPUR: CORE Precious Development Sdn Bhd, the developer of the RM1.4 billion CORE Residence @ TRX development in Kuala Lumpur, expects to benefit from the positive impact of China's economic re-opening.
According to Zhang Bao, the company's chairman and managing director, more Chinese potential purchasers are starting to inquire about the development.
CORE Precious Development is a joint venture between WCT Holdings Bhd and China Communications Construction Group (CCCG).
It launched CORE Residence @ TRX in 2019. The project features three blocks of serviced residences with 700 residential units, priced between RM1.44 million to RM2.48 million (average price of RM2,200 per square feet).
Zhang Bao said that 80 per cent of the total number of units in the development have been taken-up.
"We expect to have sold all units by the end of this year. We remain on track to complete CORE Residence @ TRX by the end of 2023 and look forward to handing over completed properties soon," he said.
He said the project is attracting investors from all over the world, with buyers hailing from more than 25 countries and regions, including Malaysia, China, Singapore, South Korea, and Japan.

CORE Precious Development's recent installation of the first linked bridge connecting TRX City Park and CORE Residence @ TRX represents a significant achievement in the project's construction.
Zhang Bao said the bridge would weave the lively community of CORE Residence @ TRX into the fabric of TRX City, serving as a crucial link for the residential project to the new heart of Kuala Lumpur.
The connected bridge spans two lanes of traffic and rises more than three stories above the earth.
According to Zhang Bao, the substantial structure was built off-site and then hoisted onto the location via crane and put in place by the building crew from CORE Precious Development.
Zhang Bao said that when completed, the linked bridge will have a terrace garden landscape that will seamlessly connect to the architectural language of the TRX City Park.
The 10-acre TRX City Park will be Southeast Asia's largest rooftop park of its kind.
Drawing inspiration from the High Line in New York and Osaka's Namba Parks, a key feature of the TRX City Park is the central hub, a space that can host up to two and a half thousand people for events.
The park will also include retail outlets, a police station, amenities, a surau, a play space with water play, multi-purpose facilities, a formal garden, and an urban forest.
According to Zhang Bao, it is the only park in Kuala Lumpur with a direct link to the MRT system.
The park sits atop the roof and service buildings of the Exchange Retail Mall, which is slated to open by the end of 2023.
